Feeling Overwhelmed?

With everything going on in the current administration, who wouldn't be!

We all have to remain focused on current events, be supportive of one another, and continue to work together to fight for Democracy. That's why we developed this toolkit to help you do something.

How you ask?

CPR 4 Democracy

COMMIT

You must be willing to commit yourself to the fight. Build a community of people willing to be CPR4D certified. Find 1-3 causes to commit yourself to and stay informed of things affecting those causes. Even just focusing on 1 cause important to you will help make difference. Make sure your community is focused on multiple things and informs one another of what is going on.

Your best place to start is the source, so follow the Presidental Actions webpage. If you'd like an honest, low-bias breakdown of events try AP News or Reuters for live and low-bias information.

PERSIST

Remember, this is a marathon–not a sprint. So, use your community to support you and ask for help when you need it.

Don’t leave social media and news outlets, instead set limits on your intake. When a new event happens, wait 24-48 hours to react. Urgency has a tendency to prevent us from thinking logically and right now we need logic based actions.

RESIST

Stay engaged with your community. Be on the offensive. Resist in the ways you can: Strike, Sit-in, Be Disobedient, Organize, Inform, Protect & Help those in the most Danger, Maintain resources for those in need, Get Creative!

Join the resistance!

Resuscitate our Liberty.

CPR4D's goal is to show everyone HOW to save our democracy and connect them with resources to work towards that goal.

Although resistance seems easy in theory, we know the best options are those with many people already involved. We've curated the best current organizations we are aware of that can help you organize, get involved, and participate in our democracy.

We've organized the below list from easist to do but smallest impact, to hardest to do but largest impact. Shown in White (easiest) to Blue (medium) and then to Red (hardest), this list is a great place to find your resistance starting point.

Help us help others!

CPR 4 Democracy started when one designer decided to find a way to make a difference. What started as a statement has grown into a toolkit to help others.

This is a grassroots, self-funded, independently maintained resource. The more who can help the better this tool will be. Help us help others by contacting us today!
